Originally from Mount Sterling, Kentucky, Amy graduated from Samford University in 2004 then pursued a year of graduate studies at Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand through a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship. She returned to Kentucky in 2006 and began working in career development at Georgetown College. In 2008, Amy developed the Global Scholars Program at Georgetown College, serving as the program’s Executive Director for three years. While working full-time, Amy completed her Master’s degree in Community and Leadership Development at the University of Kentucky. She joined the Commerce Lexington, Inc. staff in the summer of 2011 after graduating from Leadership Lexington. Amy currently serves on the boards of the Lexington Forum and Lexington Community Radio. She and her husband, Hunter Stout, are expecting a child in April 2019.
