INFORMATION & RESOURCES

RADIOLEX IS LEXINGTON’S COMMUNITY RADIO STATION

Our mission is to provide a mass media platform to amplify underrepresented local voices and promote an equitable, inclusive community.

Equity and inclusion have inexplicably become controversial ideas of late, and in response to the barrage of confusing and fearful information dominating commercial media, we want to reaffirm RADIOLEX’s values and commitments.

AT RADIOLEX WE BELIEVE:

  • Our community is for everyone, and we are always stronger together.
  • Minority voices deserve to be heard and to report their own experiences.
  • Immigrants & Refugees belong to our community and make it richer.
  • LGBTQ+ community members deserve equal rights and access to resources.
  • Folks with disabilities deserve full membership and participation in our community.
  • And when political or social forces try to silence these voices and erase their visibility in our community, we must stand together in solidarity.

Recent political pronouncements have created much fear and confusion among the most vulnerable of our friends and families.

Much of what has been communicated in the press has not been tested legally and may or may not go into effect.

RADIOLEX is committed to providing trustworthy and accurate information as well as directing folks to available resources.

It is important that as a community, we remain calm, alert, and be aware of misinformation as well as those who would prey on the fearful.
