BI-LINGUAL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
COVID-19 is disproportionately impacting the Hispanic community. Your help can make a big difference!
The Community Response Coalition of Kentucky (CRCKY) is looking for volunteers.
CRCKY needs Intake Volunteers who speak Spanish.
Intake Workers meet with clients over the phone and determine how CRCKY can help: providing rent, utilities, food, mental health services, access to free medication, etc. Volunteers also collect necessary paperwork and make sure the family receives assistance when needed.
Each Intake Volunteer is asked to commit to a 2-hour training and helping a minimum of one household per week, which is an average time commitment of 1-3 hours.
If talking with clients is not something you would enjoy doing and you would rather be active, CRCKY also needs volunteers to deliver food to quarantined immigrant households. (You will be required to wear a mask and gloves, food deliveries will be left outside clients’ doors, there will be no direct contact with Covid-19 patients.)
Potential volunteers will need to be interviewed and will be asked to provide 3 references.
