April Renee Edmonds graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Communication in 2005 with a BA in Broadcast Journalism and a double minor in Sociology and Spanish.
She later returned to UK and earned a Master of Social Work in 2015.
April is currently enrolled in UK’s Doctorate of Social Work program.
April’s passion is working with and helping underrepresented communities and populations.
Currently, she works with veterans at the Department of Veterans Affairs as a social worker.
She is also a PRN social worker for Baptist Health.
April is passionate about social justice issues.
She enjoys reading and is a self-proclaimed “Picasso” when it comes to writing.
She is a wife, a mother, and a dog mom.
When it comes to public service, April is very selective. RADIOLEX is lucky to have her.
