Dominique Wright grew up in Hershey, Pennsylvania and Lexington, KY. She’s the daughter of Nick and Tyra Rowe and the wife of Kristofer Wright.

She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. She then continued on to obtain her Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on control systems from Georgia Tech.

Beginning immediately after high school graduation, Ms. Wright begun working as an intern at Lexmark International, Inc. This work continued throughout here college career and in 2010 joined Lexmark full-time as a participant in the Technical Rotation Program. In 2014, Ms. Wright took a leap of faith and left the Research and Design world to become a Supplier Relationship Manager in Global Supply Chain and Operations. Here is she responsible for the supplier relations and procurement of inkjet components, security chips and PCBAs that support the various geographies around the world. Just recently Ms. Wright has accepted a management role in Worldwide Service Parts Engineering.

Ms. Wright is active in various community organizations. She currently serves as the Lexington Urban League Young Professionals President and has previously served as chapter Membership Chair. As a member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) she’s served as Region 3 Professionals Programs Chair, President of the five-time Region 3 Chapter of the Year, Central Kentucky Professionals Chapter and was also a past Region 3 Pre-College Initiative Chair along with various other leadership roles. Ms. Wright is also part of the executive board for the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Lexington (KY) Alumnae Chapter. Her community board experience includes University of Kentucky College of Engineering Alumni Association, Urban League of Lexington Fayette County and the Lexington Community Radio.
Ms. Wright is a firm believer in the power of “the village” and aims to bring that mentality back to our community. Service is truly the rent you pay while here on earth.
