Nicole joined Kentucky Cooperative Extension in Bath County in 2015 as the Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Agent. Before working in Bath County, she was the Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher at Mount Tabor High School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In both roles, Nicole teaches families, students, and community partners topics related to finances, food, fitness, and well-being with families at the center of community wellness.
Nicole is a North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University graduate, where she majored in Family and Consumer Sciences Education (bachelors) and Agricultural Education (masters).
Nicole currently lives in Lexington with my husband, John, and her three children Remington, Shona, and Nola. When not keeping busy with work and family obligations, you can Nicole sewing sustainable houseware goods, writing letters to my legislatures, or participating in Urban League Young Professionals program as secretary.
Nicole is deeply passionate about building community, providing growth spaces for marginalized groups, and leading with dignity, respect, and confidence. With work, family, and volunteer opportunities, developing leaders is essential to the betterment of strong communities.
